How do I get started?
Getting started is easy. Simply choose a plan and provide me with all the information I need to create your design. I will then set up your hosting account online and start designing your custom website right away.
Hosting fees are $4.99 a month, with the first month free.
Why is there a hosting fee?
All websites you see on the internet are held on a server. Unless you have your own server, you need a host to make it possible to view your website from anywhere in the world. Large businesses spend hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars a month to manage their servers or pay for a host.
Do you use templates or will my website be unique?
All websites designed by Gold Country are custom made to suit your needs ands preferences.
How long will it take to build my website?
It can take as little as a week, depending on your website requirements. Once you have finalized your package you will be given and estimated date it will be completed. This date largely depends of how quickly you provide the required information.
What do you consider a 'small-business'?
Most businesses not owned by a large corporation in or around Amador County, and 501c3 non-profit organizations. This includes start up's, family owned and operated businesses, farms, etc, regardless of the number of employees.
Are there any other costs I can expect to pay for my website?
All websites also have a domain name, which is the internet address or URL where people can find and view your web pages. Your domain name without paying any additional fees will look like this: http://yourbusinessname.homestead.com. You may also register the domain name of your choosing for approximately $10 a year that will look like this: www.yourbusinessname.com and is something I can help you do.
On your list of services why are there no prices listed?
Another way Gold Country makes building your website as inexpensive as possible, is to make sure you are only paying for the services you use. All costs are arranged according to the time and resources required to produce the product as you want it, which can be very different from one website to another.
What if I want to make changes or additions to my website after it is published?
No problem. Each package also includes 1 free hour that can be used anytime for 30 days following your website going live on the world wide web. After that, you only need to pay per project to make any changes or additions with no other cost. We also now offer a "Self Editing" option that allows you to make updates on your home and or services pages. It comes with a tutorial as well.
